Corona – New developments in Uganda!

First corona case was confirmed over the weekend. The 36 years old male apparently travelled to Dubai on Mar 17^th and returned on 21^st-Mar with a very high fever. The ministry of Health and WHO have already swung into action to establish whether he contracted the virus before or during his travel.

Government has put in place additional measures to try and control the spread of the virus.

All borders and the airport have now been closed. This however does not include cargo planes and trucks. Trucks must not have more than 3 people and cabin crew members will be allowed in provided they undergo the mandatory checks and stay in specific hotels.

People are encouraged to stay or work from home whenever possible.
