Packing Services Structure and Quality Management

The Managing Director, Mr Kevin Cumings (260 977 854 345) is also available for the same. On site quotations are normally performed by the Managing Director who has 22 years experience in the office and household goods relocations business in Zambia.

Services include storage, local house and office moves, International air, road and sea freight household goods, pet and vehicle relocations, Museum and art gallery moves and document storage.
Our packing teams are made up of permanent staff only as we have no short term employment strategy. The team leaders are personable, speak good English and have a minimum of eight years experience with this company. Their function begins on site with a walk through with the client. They manage the entire packing job including adhering to time frames, volume/weight restrictions and final inventories. Any light weighing requirements are performed on site with a portable scale. For finished crate weights, our 1,000 kg scale at our depot is utilised. While there are very few situations pertaining to a house or office relocation that our experienced team leaders have not encountered and cannot handle, all our resources, including the Managing Director and General Manager are always available to provide support or back up as required. Our teams show great care and responsibility in packing our clients goods and take pride in their deserved reputation for being courteous, friendly and the most professional packers in town. They are equally at ease doing a small local house move as they are packing an Ambassadors residence, a grand piano or an art gallery, all of which they have extensive experience with. Wherever possible, all crating and container stuffing/destuffing is carried out at residence. Any steel strapping and fitting/breaking of shipping seals is done at this time, in the presence of the client. Shipping containers not totally filled with household goods are secured with the use of a strong wooden bulkhead. We have no instance of one of our bulkheads breaking loose en route. All external crates or boxes are lined with water proof plastic. All packing debris is removed by our team at completion of the job.

While we procure locally when we can, we largely utilise imported packing materials due to more consistent availability, pricing and quality. We do utilise, where possible, good quality used cartons for local moves. All timber utilised is heat treated and stamped.

Move enquiries are normally handled by Mrs Deborah Watson as is tracking of shipments in or out. In the event that she is not available enquiries can be directed to Kevin Cumings or Aggie Chanda.
